About KCSA 95.7 FM

cactus hotel

KCSA is San Angelo’s community radio station, dedicated to serving the people, culture, and spirit of our city. Broadcasting from the top of the historic Cactus Hotel, KCSA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, fueled by volunteers and community support.

KCSA went on the air for the first time on December 6, 2002, proudly celebrating the holiday season by playing Christmas carols for the Concho Christmas Celebration. Just one month later, in January 2003, KCSA officially launched its signature format—bringing listeners a unique blend of timeless classics from the 1940s through the 1980s, alongside the music of local artists.

This creative mix is what makes KCSA unlike any other station. Where else can you hear Glenn Miller, Dean Martin, Patsy Cline, Chicago, Chuck Berry, and Elvis Presley—all flowing seamlessly in the same music break? By blending genres and eras, we create a sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly original.

More than music, KCSA is about community connection. We highlight local events, share stories from San Angelo, and provide a platform for voices that deserve to be heard. Our mission is to remain independent, local, and community-driven, ensuring that San Angelo always has a radio station that belongs to its people.

For over two decades, KCSA has been proud to serve San Angelo with integrity and heart—and with your support, we’ll continue to keep community radio alive for many years to come.
